Crib

Updated: Jun 11, 2021

Pleased to announce that my short story, "Crib," will be published in the seventh volume of the, 'Otherwise Engaged Literature and Arts Journal.'

Excerpt from the piece:

The blooms on the Magnolia tree centering the front yard bloomed. Margaret would not pick them because she knew they were precious to the bees, but she would sit outside with Baby on her breaks and adore them, and the birds chirping from branch to branch. Then fall came, and the tree's big leaves turned an ugly orange, and in winter the leaves were gone, the blooms forgotten, only the wooden cradle of the tree left. And when summer came, the blooms returned, like giant paper bags dunked in white paint.
